Comprehensive Privacy Notice

In strict compliance with Articles 1, 2, 6, 8, 12, 15, 16, 17, 28, 36 and other applicable provisions of Mexico’s Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares, hereinafter the “LFPDPPP”), its Regulations, and the Privacy Notice Guidelines published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF), this Comprehensive Privacy Notice is made available to all individuals (hereinafter the “Data Subject”) who access, browse, or interact with the website urtextonline.com and its associated services (collectively, the “Website”).

1. Identity and Address of the Data Controller

The controller responsible for the processing and protection of your personal data is URTEXT Digital Classics (hereinafter “URTEXT”), a Mexican record label founded in 1995 dedicated to the production, recording, publishing, preservation, and dissemination of concert, classical, jazz, traditional, and world music from Mexico and abroad, with its principal address in Mexico City, United Mexican States, making available to Data Subjects its official institutional contact channels published on the Website.

2. Personal Data Subject to Processing

Depending on how the Data Subject interacts with the Website, URTEXT may collect and process the following categories of data:

  • Technical and browsing data: Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, operating system, selected language preference (Spanish or English), date and time of access, and catalog pages consulted.
  • Identification and contact data (voluntary communications only): Full name, email address, telephone number, institutional affiliation, and message contents when the Data Subject voluntarily contacts URTEXT through the label’s official channels regarding the catalog, press inquiries, festivals, or phonogram licensing.
  • Authorized administrative user data: Username, institutional email address, access role, and authentication security logs exclusively for internal personnel authorized to manage the album catalog.
No Processing of Sensitive Personal Data: URTEXT expressly states that it does not request, collect, or process sensitive personal data from Website visitors within the meaning of Article 3, Section VI of the LFPDPPP (racial or ethnic origin, health status, genetic information, religious, philosophical or moral beliefs, union membership, political opinions, or sexual preference). Furthermore, browsing the catalog, playing audio previews, and downloading Digital Booklets (PDF) are freely accessible and require neither user registration nor financial data on this Website.

3. Purposes of Personal Data Processing

Personal data collected will be used for the following Primary Purposes, which are necessary to provide our informational and cultural services:

  1. Enabling access, search, and navigation across URTEXT’s digital phonographic catalog, including viewing artistic credits, program notes, technical sheets, and downloading free Digital Booklets (PDF).
  2. Responding to and following up on inquiries, press requests, artistic proposals, or synchronization and phonogram licensing requests voluntarily submitted by the Data Subject.
  3. Maintaining the cybersecurity, integrity, and availability of the Website, including preventing unauthorized access through temporary IP logging upon failed login attempts in restricted administrative areas.
  4. Complying with applicable Mexican legal obligations and duly founded judicial or administrative orders.

Additionally, and only when requested or consented to by the Data Subject, contact information may be used for the following Secondary Purposes:

  1. Sending cultural newsletters, invitations to concerts, album presentations, editions of the URTEXT Festival, Tuesdays with Marisa broadcasts, and events in the <UrWorld> virtual space.
  2. Generating anonymized internal statistics to improve catalog organization and user experience.

You may opt out of Secondary Purposes at any time through the official institutional contact channels published on the Website. Refusal to allow processing for secondary purposes will never affect your access to the catalog or Website resources.

4. Data Transfers and Third-Party Platforms

URTEXT does not sell, rent, assign, or transfer personal data to third parties without prior consent, except as provided under Article 37 of the LFPDPPP.

Please note that purchases of physical compact discs (CDs) and collector editions are processed through our official online store ur/shop (https://urtext-shop.myshopify.com, hosted on Shopify Inc.), and access to the <UrWorld> metaverse is hosted on Spatial Systems, Inc. (Spatial.io). Any personal, shipping, or payment data provided directly on those external platforms is governed by their respective privacy policies and security standards.

You may also revoke your consent or request limitation of the use or disclosure of your data at any time.

1. Procedure and Requirements
